The much-awaited ASOMI Bohagi (Boishakhi) Mela 2025 was inaugurated today at the Dak Bungalow premises, Silchar, in a vibrant ceremony graced by key dignitaries including the District Commissioner of Cachar, CEO of Cachar Zilla Parishad, LDM Cachar, RM SBI, Loan Manager AGVB, PNB Circle Head, District Agriculture Officer, and District Fishery Officer.
The Mela, organized under the aegis of ASRLM, showcases a wide range of traditional and organic products crafted by Self-Help Groups (SHGs). From ethnic delicacies to eco-friendly home essentials, the event is a celebration of Assamese culture, self-reliance, and entrepreneurship.
