In March 2025, several commodities recorded significant growth in freight loading compared to the same period last year. Cement loading recorded a 9.6% increase, while dolomite loading rose by 9.1%, Fertilizer loading grew by 28.6% and others loading recorded a hike with 9.6%.
Additionally, in other segments, potato loading increased by 54.5%, stone chips registered a 61.9% and miscellaneous loading recorded a notable rise of 7.4% as compared to the previous fiscal year.
The consistent growth in freight loading reflects the rising economic activity in the region. In FY 2024-25 (as of March 2025), NFR’s cumulative freight loading reached 10.681 million tonnes, reflecting a 4.3% increase compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. This upward trend has not only strengthened the region’s economic landscape but also contributed significantly to NFR’s revenue.
