Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha Meets Union Health Minister JP Nadda in New Delhi, Seeks Support for Strengthening State Healthcare Infrastructure

Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, met with Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and BJP National President,  Jagat Prakash Nadda, in New Delhi today. The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, focusing on the overall development of the healthcare sector in Tripura.

During the discussion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha apprised the Union Minister of the state’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery and highlighted the need for further support to elevate healthcare infrastructure, particularly in the area of super specialty services. He emphasized the importance of modernizing existing facilities, enhancing medical education, and ensuring the availability of advanced treatment options within the state to reduce dependency on out-of-state medical care.

Dr. Saha also presented several proposals aimed at transforming Tripura’s health system into a more resilient and accessible model for all citizens. He urged the Central Government to extend necessary assistance in terms of funding, technology, and human resource development.

Nadda assured the Chief Minister of the Centre’s continued cooperation and appreciated the initiatives taken by the Tripura government to improve the state’s health indicators. The meeting is seen as a significant step towards fostering stronger Centre-State collaboration in the health sector.
