Dr Anil Kumar Yadav of RBI enters India Book of Records

Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, an alumni of Sikkim Govt College, Tadong, has been officially recognized by the India Book of Records(IBR) for qualifying the UGC-NET examination in the highest number of subjects (12 in total) in India. His most recent qualification was in Geography during the December 2024 examination cycle and surpassed his own previous record of five subjects set between 2011 and 2014. The IBR certificate issued to him states that- “The record for clearing UGC NET in the maximum number of subjects was set by Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav (born on June 4, 1968). He cleared the UGC-NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) examination in 12 subjects, including Economics, Management and Commerce from June 2011 to December 2024, as confirmed on March 17, 2025.”

Till date Dr Yadav has cleared UGC NET in Economics (June 2011); Management (June 2012); Commerce (December 2012); HRM/Labour Welfare (June 2013); Psychology (December 2014);Public Administration (July 2018);Mass Communication & Journalism (December 2018);Political Science (June 2020);Anthropology (December 2020 & June 2021 merged cycle);Education (December 2022); Women Studies (June 2024) and Geography (December 2024). These accomplishments highlight his dedication and interdisciplinary expertise in the Indian academic landscape. Dr. Yadav’s dedication to interdisciplinary learning and academic excellence has earned him multiple recognitions, including entries in the Asia Book of Records and the Limca Book of Records. His achievements highlight the remarkable potential of lifelong learning and commitment to education.

In addition to this,  Dr. Yadav has been acknowledged by several other prestigious record-keeping organisations,  including the Asia Book of Records, Limca Book of Records, Golden Book of World Records, and Unique World Records, for his extensive academic achievements. Beyond his UGC-NET accomplishments, Dr. Yadav has earned 52 degrees and diplomas from 25 universities across 19 Indian states and union territories, including 36 master’s degrees and a Ph.D.

This remarkable academic journey underscores his dedication to lifelong learning and interdisciplinary scholarship.
