INDIAN ARMY COMMEMORATED WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY IN TINSUKIA

Indian Army Warriors in collaboration with the Assam Forest Department, Parivesh Sangrakshan Samiti, Rampur, local communities, youth, and Tipong High School, commemorated World Environment Day by conducting a massive tree plantation drive at Tipong, Margherita and Pengri.

Approximately 650 saplings of various species were planted, transforming the area into a green oasis. More than 350 local residents, including women, children, and enthusiastic youth, actively participated in this noble initiative.

A special interactive session was organised focusing on holistic well-being and the importance of adopting a positive mindset towards life. Emphasis was laid on preserving a clean and green environment.

This initiative highlights the Indian Army’s unwavering dedication towards nurturing strong bonds with the people of Upper Assam and its continued efforts in ensuring peace, prosperity, and environmental harmony in the region.

The Indian Army remains steadfast in its mission to serve the nation and its people, extending beyond security and reaching the heart of community development.
