Brig.A K Basumatari of Gurj Division Inaugurates Blood Donation Camp and Delivers Motivational Talk to NCC Cadets in Punjab

A reputed School of Pathankot, became a hub of inspiration for younger generation. Brigadier Anjan Kumar Basumatari from Indian Army’s Gurj Division, inaugurated a Blood Donation Camp and delivered a powerful motivational talk to the NCC Naval Cadets attending the ongoing 10-day Residential Camp.

The blood donation drive saw enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, reinforcing the message of selfless service and social responsibility. Such camps not only support the healthcare system by ensuring timely availability of blood but also help young cadets understand the value of contributing to society in meaningful ways.

During his address, Brigadier AK Basumatari inspired the cadets with stories of dedication, courage, and discipline from his vast military experience. He emphasized the importance of integrity, resilience, leadership, and teamwork—qualities essential for anyone aspiring to join the Armed Forces or serve the nation in any capacity. His interaction left a lasting impact, motivating many cadets to pursue careers in defence and embody the values of the Indian Army in their daily lives.

Commanding Officer Commander N. Nishant appreciated the cadets’ proactive participation, stating, “This camp goes beyond routine training. It’s about building a mindset of service, strength, and commitment, which these cadets are displaying remarkably.”

Ms. Subhra Rani, School Principal added, “Our students are fortunate to gain exposure to real-life role models like Brigadier Basumatari. Such interactions are transformational and align perfectly with our mission of holistic education.”
