Under the able leadership and guidance of Maj Gen Chahal ,ADG NCC West Bengal and Sikkim Directorate, National Cadet Corps celebrated Independence Day in a unique way.
The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic zeal at Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata.The event began with a grand Flag Hoisting Ceremony, followed by a March Past by all three wings of NCC viz Army (31 Bengal Bn), Navy (2 Naval Unit) and Air (1 Air Sqn). Cadets & Students were inspired by a motivational address by Maj Gen APS Chahal, SM , ADG, West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. A Vibrant Cultural show paid tribute to our national heroes who sacrificed their lives during Freedom Struggle and the Soldiers who are protecting our borders.
On the momentous occasion of the 79th Independence Day, NCC cadets from Kalyani, Burdwan, Kharagpur, Kolkata-B & Kolkata-C Groups infused West Bengal with an electrifying display of patriotism, unity and unwavering discipline. The celebrations unfolded through ceremonial flag hoistings, soul stirring cultural performances, impactful tree plantations, noble blood donation drives and dynamic route marches, each reflecting a profound commitment to service and national pride.
From vibrant rallies echoing the spirit of freedom to heartfelt tributes honouring our valiant veterans, these dedicated cadets embodied the essence of India’s enduring legacy.
NCC cadets in Darjeeling & Sikkim celebrated Independence Day with remarkable zeal, participating in ceremonies across Gangtok, Namchi, Pakyong and the beautiful hill towns of Darjeeling, Mirik, Kurseong as well as Mal Bazaar, Coochbehar, Malda, Balurghat and Siliguri. With impeccable March Past, vibrant cultural presentations and the inspiring Tiranga Cycle Rally, they showcased the indomitable spirit and dedication of India’s youth.
The great zeal, enthusiasm, energy and patriotic fervour displayed by NCC cadets truly lit up the region, marking each event with pride, discipline and unity. Their outstanding performances are a testament to the vital role youth play in upholding our freedom and values.
With the Tricolour soaring proudly above their collective zeal painted a powerful portrait of hope, resilience and shared strength, lighting the path towards a brighter, unified future for all.
