Major General Vivek Tyagi took over as Additional DG Maharashtra Directorate today. In addition to vast operational experience including that of commanding multi national UN forces, the General Officer brings along experience of Youth Empowerment having steered transformational changes in appointment of Additional DG, West Bengal & Sikkim. He commended the stellar standards of Directorate and exhorted all to continue to strive in support of NCC mandate of sashaktyuva strengthening an ethos of Nation First.
The Maharashtra NCC Directorate is among the best performing directorates of India.
On taking charge as ADG NCC-Maharashtra Directorate, Major General Vivek Tyagi says, ” Rhe Maharashtra Directorate has been the champion directorate for a record number of times, which means it carries much more responsibility. It is a large directorate comprising seven groups and 63 units across all three wings. I look to continue with the strengths this directorate has imbibed over the years and build on it as we expand…As ADG, my endeavour will be to create the best opportunities for the Cadets and take on the responsibility of rising India…”
