The Social Sports Foundation successfully organized Bengal’s first-ever Sports Conclave, “Scorebook 2025,” on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Rotary Sadan, Kolkata. Envisioned as Bengal’s landmark sporting initiative, the conclave celebrated the state’s rich heritage while creating a forward-looking roadmap for sports development through dialogue, collaboration, and actionable ideas.
A major highlight of the conclave was the session led by the National Anti- Doping Agency (NADA), represented by eminent guest speaker Bijan Kumar Dash, Dope Control Officer. His address placed strong emphasis on the role of NADA in safeguarding the integrity of sports, raising awareness against doping, and ensuring ethical practices in both grassroots and professional arenas. He underscored how education, vigilance, and policy support are essential to preserve fairness and protect athlete welfare in today’s competitive sporting ecosystem.
The conclave also featured an engaging session on the scope of Sports Tourism and Administrative Services in Bengal.
Discussions highlighted Bengal’s untapped potential to emerge as a premier sports tourism hub, with improved infrastructure, governance reforms, and integrated strategies to attract both national and international attention. The panel further stressed on building sustainable administrative models to enhance efficiency and transparency within the sports sector.
The event was inaugurated by the esteemed Retd. Major General S. N. Mukherjee, Ex Vice-Chancellor, LNIPE Gwalior, whose presence and opening address inspired participants and set the tone for the conclave. His words reinforced the vision that sports must be recognized not only as a field of physical excellence but also as a cultural, intellectual, and social pursuit demanding collective commitment.
With sessions covering sports culture,financial challenges, betting regulations, advertising, and grassroots development, “Scorebook 2025” brought together athletes, coaches, administrators, academicians, policymakers, and industry leaders under one roof.
The conclave concluded with a strong call to action—ensuring Bengal’s sporting legacy evolves into a sustainable and modern framework driven by unity, innovation, and policy support.
