In a bid to clear the extra rush of passengers, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate one pair of festival special train between New Tinsukia and SMVT Bengaluru during the forthcoming festive season. Train No. 05952/05951 (New Tinsukia – SMVT Bengaluru – New Tinsukia) Festive Special will run from 18th September to 2nd November, 2025 for 07 trips from each direction.
Accordingly, train No. 05952 (New Tinsukia – SMVT Bengaluru) special will depart from New Tinsukia on every Thursday at 18:45 hours from 18th September to 30th October, 2025 to reach SMVT Bengaluru at 09:30 hours on Sunday. In return direction, train No. 05951 (SMVT Bengaluru – New Tinsukia) special will depart from SMVT Bengaluru on every Sunday at 23:50 hours from 21st September to 2nd November, 2025 to reach New Tinsukia on Wednesday at 16:25 hours.
The train will have stoppages at Dibrugarh, Demaji, North Lakhimpur, Harmuti, Rangapara North, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Barddhaman, Kharagpur, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Vizianagaram, Vijayawada, Katpadi stations etc. in both directions.
The Festive special train will consist of 20 coaches. There will be AC 3-Tier and sleeper class coaches for ensuring passenger comfort and convenience.
