On September 3, 2025, the “Bharat Darshan Tour-2025” for the Students of Mizoram was flagged off by the Governor of Mizoram Gen. (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd) at Raj Bhawan in the presence of Sh Sharad Agarwal, IPS, DGP Mizoram, Sh Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, Addl DG, BSF Eastern Command, Kolkata, Ravi Kant, IPS, IG BSF, Frontier HQ M&C, DIG, Sector HQ BSF Aizawl and various other senior officials and dignitaries of the State.
During the flag-off Governor exhorted the students to be inquisitive and avail this opportunity to widen their horizon of knowledge which would be beneficial both for the students and the Nation.
The Six day tour programme organized by Border Security Force (BSF) for 100 students and 8 teachers from 4 border districts of Mizoram commences on 03 September with their journey by Air from Aizawl to Delhi and return on 08 September 2025.
During the tour, the students will visit various historical heritage sites, monuments, Parliament House in Delhi and surrounding areas apart from interaction with Home Minister and Director General, Border Security Force. Visibly elated, the students expressed their excitement and eagerness to undertake the tour to witness for themselves in reality, what they have learnt in textbooks which will be beneficial to orient themselves better about the remarkable history and geography of the Motherland – India.
The Bharat Darshan Tour is aimed to impart better understanding of India’s cultural diversity, geographical treasures, and socio-economic aspects to foster unity amidst diversity.
