General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS delivered a keynote address on Cross-Domain Hybrid Leadership: Essential for National Growth and Security during the 52nd National Management Convention today, organised by the All-India Management Association (AIMA).
The event was based on the theme – Global Trends & Future Strategies: Resilience and Adaptability in a Changing World.
The COAS highlighted Indian Army’s commitment towards nation building and underscored the Army’s efforts towards Atmanirbhar Bharat by way of substantial budgetary spending on domestic defence production. He emphasised the need to be ever vigilant and prepared as was evident during Operation Sindoor and called for indigenously produced, cost-effective, high-technology equipment to outpace adversaries. He deliberated on the reforms in the defence procurement procedure and the opportunities and challenges arising in the prevailing environment. Lastly, he urged active industry-academia collaboration by opening of IIT/IISc tech cells and fostering consortia to accelerate R&D in areas of niche defence technology.
