Volleyball League Strengthens Civil–Military Bond in Anjaw District

Under the aegis of Operation Sadbhavana, the Dao Warriors of Spear Corps successfully organised a five-day Hayuliang Volleyball League in Anjaw, Arunachal Pradesh. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 18 teams representing various villages across the district turning the league into a festival of sportsmanship, camaraderie and unity.

The tournament not only provided a platform for the youth to display their talent and competitive spirit but also served as a medium to promote a healthy lifestyle, teamwork and discipline among the local populace. The spirited final match between Supliyag and Nenuliang teams enthralled the audience with thrilling rallies and high energy. The hard-fought contest symbolised the vibrant sporting culture of the region and the unifying spirit of the game.

The initiative under Operation Sadbhavana is part of the Indian Army’s sustained efforts to strengthen military- civil relations, foster goodwill and engage with the youth in border areas. Such events also encourage local talent to pursue sports as a means of holistic development and community integration.

The Hayuliang Volleyball League concluded with the felicitation of winners and participants, marking yet another step in building trust, friendship and cooperation between the Army and the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
