Arunachal Pradesh came alive on 27 September 2025, as vibrant celebrations of World Tourism Day were held at both Aalo and Menchuka Valley, showcasing the state’s adventure spirit, cultural heritage, and the essence of community participation.
In Aalo, more than 100 enthusiastic locals joined hands with the Indian Army’s Spear Corps in a day packed with adventure and learning. Activities such as navigation classes, white-water rafting, river crossing, and rock climbing brought together the thrill of exploration with the spirit of unity. The program highlighted the pristine natural landscape of Arunachal Pradesh and promoted the values of teamwork, resilience, and community engagement through Military Civil Fusion.
Simultaneously, in Menchuka Valley, children from Government Pre-Primary School, Lhallung Village embarked on an inspiring journey of discovery. The young explorers experienced the breathtaking beauty of the valley, its rich cultural traditions, and historical heritage. This initiative was aimed at nurturing curiosity among the youngest citizens, instilling in them a love for travel, environmental preservation, and cultural pride.
The twin celebrations reflected the true essence of the World Tourism Day 2025 theme: “Tourism for All.” By engaging both local communities and young learners, the events emphasized that tourism is not only about destinations but also about people, participation, and preservation.
Supported by ADGPI, Eastern Command, and SpearCorps, the events symbolized a shared commitment to promoting Arunachal Pradesh as a hub of sustainable adventure and cultural tourism.
The day concluded with a pledge to continue fostering adventure sports, preserving cultural heritage, and empowering youth participation — ensuring that Arunachal Pradesh remains a beacon of natural beauty, unity, and vibrant traditions for generations to come.
