In line with the vision of Amrit Kaal and guided by the principles of Panch Pran as enunciated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Ministry of Railways has launched a new citizen-centric initiative—“Amrit Samvaad”—under Special Campaign 5.0. This initiative, inspired by the concept of Rail Chaupal, aims to foster direct interaction and dialogue between citizens and railway authorities.
As part of this campaign, Amrit Samvaad was organised by the staff & officials of the Environment & Housekeeping Management and Commercial Department of Sealdah Division, Eastern Railway at Amrit Bharat Stations like Kolkata and Dum Dum Jn. station .
During the interactive session, discussions were held with passengers and local citizens on key aspects of station development under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including:
Upgraded waiting halls and toilets
Improved lifts, escalators, and passenger information systems
Free Wi-Fi and One Station One Product kiosks
Landscaping and aesthetic enhancements
Facilities for Divyangjans and improved accessibility
Passengers also shared their feedback on the ongoing modernization initiatives and expressed appreciation for the visible improvements. The staff encouraged citizens to play an active role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the upkeep of station premises towards a participative effort.
