In celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, Spearhead Division of Spear Corps organised an inspiring outreach programme at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Menchuka, aimed at empowering young girls and encouraging them to dream beyond boundaries.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 95 bright girl students and 10 dedicated staff members. The highlight of the day was a thought-provoking session on “Women in Armed Forces”, conducted by the personnel. The lecture shed light on the courage, determination and achievements of women who have proudly donned the uniform, breaking barriers and serving the nation with honour.
Students were encouraged to believe that gender is no barrier when it comes to patriotism, courage and service. Through interactive discussions and motivational stories, the young audience gained a deeper understanding of the vast opportunities available in the Indian Armed Forces and the importance of self-belief, discipline and perseverance.
The programme concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students expressed keen interest in knowing more about life in uniform. Outstanding performers in academics were also felicitated for their achievements, reinforcing the message that excellence in education is the first step toward empowerment.
The event stood as a shining example of the Indian Army’s commitment to women empowerment and nation-building, inspiring the next generation of girls to rise with confidence, courage, and conviction.
