At about 1 AM on October 23, 2025, when the goods train UP AZARA Sugar was passing between Salakati and Kokrajhar, the Train manager reported a heavy jerk, after which train was stopped. CPRO NFR Kapinjal Kishore Sharma informed it Media.
On checking, it was found that there was damage on the track and sleepers, due to a suspected bomb blast.
Sharma also said State Police, RPF and intelligence authorities are investigating the matter.
Track has been restored at 5.25 AM and normal train running has resumed.
Patrolling has been intensified in the section.
Approximately eight trains faced delays or detentions due to the incident. Train patrolling and security surveillance have been intensified in the affected section to ensure the safety of passengers and freight operations
