SEEMADARSHAN TEAM EXPLORES KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK UNDER OP SADHBHAVNA

As part of the ongoing Seemadarshan Tour under Op Sadbhavna, 28 students and two teachers from Don Bosco College, Maram, Manipur visited UNESCO World Heritage Site Kaziranga National Park on 16 Nov 2025. The visit offered the participants an immersive experience into one of India’s most iconic wildlife sanctuaries, globally acclaimed for its conservation of the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros.

The day began with an exciting Kaziranga jungle safari, taking the students through the park’s vast grasslands, marshes and dense forests. During the safari, the team sighted the legendary One Horned Rhinoceros, elephants, wild buffaloes, deer species and a wide variety of birdlife – an unforgettable encounter with India’s rich biodiversity.

An interactive session with forest guards further deepened their understanding of Kaziranga’s robust wildlife protection mechanisms, anti-poaching strategies and the challenges of safeguarding such a vital ecosystem.

After completing the Kaziranga visit, the team proceeded to the Orchid Park, where students explored the extensive collection of regional flora.

The visit left the students enriched, inspired and more appreciative of India’s conservation efforts.
