ARMY CHIEF VISITED FORWARD AREAS OF SIKKIM

General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS visited the forward posts of the Black Cat Division, recently.He was briefed on the operational readiness and capability enhancement initiatives of the formation. He also witnessed a display of indigenous drones that are enhancing the surveillance and operational capabilities of the formation.

During his interaction with the troops, the COAS lauded their exceptional professionalism and unwavering dedication while operating in one of the most challenging terrains.

General Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staffs accompanied by GOC-in-C Eastern Command Lt. Gen R C Tiwari, GOC Trishakti Corps, and GOC Black Cat Div visited the forward areas of Sikkim.

The top brass of Army met Sikkim ‘s Chief Minister and discussed matters of mutual interest focussing on National Security, Ranbhoomi Darshan Military Civil Fusion and welfare measures for the Veterans of Sikkim.

“I deeply appreciate the dedication, discipline and selfless service of the Indian Army in safeguarding our nation’s frontiers and in upholding peace and tranquility.”- Sikkim’s CM Prem Singh Tamang stated.

The relentless efforts of the State towards Ranbhoomi Darshan and Civil Administration as well as Indian Army for Military Civil Fusion & Civil Defence Measures is well appreciated by all.
