Joint SSB Operation Foils Illegal Activity on Indo-Bhutan Border; One Arrested with Weapon

Acting on a tip off a joint operation was conducted by the 24th Batalion of SSB Rangia with the help of Border Outpost Bimlanagar, along with Border Outpost Paharpur and Police Outpost Nagarijuli along the Indo-Bhutan border under the leadership of Inspector Gesi.

During this operation, a person named Arun Gowala was arrested with an illegal weapon from village Gajenpuri on the Indian side. Following the operation, the arrested person along with the confiscated items was handed over to Police Outpost Nagarijuli.

During this operation, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Border Outpost Guabari and Paharpur of 24th Battalion Inspector M Nilonjay Singh, Head Constable Somingam Mashangva, Krishna Kumar Shah, Constable Regin Raj RS, Ganesh Kumar, Ankita Rabha, Korra Bhu Lakshmi and Nagarijuli Police Outpost Incharge SI Adith Boro, Lance Naik Bibhu Sainkia and Shyamal Urang etc. were present.The entire operation was guided by H. K. Gupta , commandent 24th batalion SSB Rangia. 24th Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal, Rangia is continuously running such campaigns to discharge its duty in the security of Indo-Bhutan border and in collaboration with local citizens, it is regularly meeting with the public and encouraging them to inform the nearest SSB Border Outpost or Battalion Headquarters if they notice any kind of criminal activity or illegal smuggling happening in the border area.
