Dr.C. V. Ananda Bose, Governor of West Bengal and the Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Indian museum marked the beginning of his fourth year in office with a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony at Raj Bhavan yesterday.
The cake-cutting ceremony witnessed in the presence of school students,
underprivileged children, local artists and officials from Indian Museum.
He inaugurated Indian Museum’s Special Exhibition : People’s Governor : Bridging Hearts, Building Bengal at Central Marble Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kolkata on that very special occasion.
Inauguration of Governor’s Dream Canvas Art Competition at the South Marble Hall was a glaring event.Dr. Bose himself painted in the canvas and inaugurated the colourful event. That session was created a grand aura among school children.
Indian Museum co-ordinated the Governor’s excellence and service awards yesterday, as Dr. C. B. Ananda Bose conferred several key honours to fellow citizens.
The event featured the presentation of:
• Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Awards
• Young Leaders Programme Awards
• Governor’s Birsa Munda Puraskar
• Vande Mataram Awards
Each award reflected the Governor’s commitment to empowering youth, honouring cultural contribution, celebrating national values, and supporting community upliftment.
Dr.Bose paid tribute to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on the occasion of the Centenary of His advent.
To commemorate this historic milestone, the Govt of India is issuing a special coin and postal stamp in honour of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
