In a remarkable display of humility, the Governor of West Bengal was spotted traveling like a common man alonwith his staff on the Dhandhanya Express train from Berahmpore to Kolkata. When Ticket Collector Sukumar Bera asked for his ticket, the Governor promptly showed his ticket, echoing his commitment to being one with the people.
“I am traveling like a common man, and I want the people to see me as one among them,” the Governor said. “I may be the Governor, but I am also a citizen, and I want to understand the problems of the common man,” he added.
TT Sukumar Bera praised the Governor’s noble gesture, saying, “This is a wonderful experience, and I commend the Governor for his humility.”
