In a swift and compassionate response to safeguard vulnerable children, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway successfully rescued four minor boys under “Operation Nanhe Faristey”. The coordinated rescue was carried out by RPF personnel of Howrah, Sealdah and Asansol Divisions at different railway stations.
During the operation, two minor boys were found moving aimlessly at Howrah and Dankuni Railway Stations. One minor had mistakenly boarded Train No. 13152 DN (Kolkata Express) and reached Kolkata Railway Station, while another minor had reportedly fled from home due to family discord.
All four rescued minors were safely handed over to the concerned Childline authorities for further care, counselling and necessary legal action, as per established norms.
The RPF of Eastern Railway remains steadfast in its mission to protect, rescue and rehabilitate children in distress, working in close coordination with child welfare agencies to ensure their safety at railway premises and onboard trains.
