The Border Security Force (BSF) organized a Medical Seminar and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme at Frontier HQ, South Bengal Frontier, Kolkata, in collaboration with Composite Hospital BSF Kolkata.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Umesh Tiwari, Inspector General/Director (Medical). Dr. Ashish Kumar, IG (Medical), SDG Eastern Command & Shri Bhupender Singh, IG South Bengal Frontier were present.
The inaugural lecture on “Vitiligo and Recent Advances in Its Treatment” was delivered by Dr. Arun Kumar, 2IC/CMO, Composite Hospital Kolkata. Sessions covered GI bleed, Diabetes, Autoimmune diseases, Arthroscopy, Alzheimer’s disease and Neurological disorders, with participation from BSF doctors and specialists from some Kolkata based private hospitals.
The seminar emphasized stress management, lifestyle disease control and quality healthcare. Around 20 delegates attended.
