As part of the 50th Raising Day celebrations of the Indian Coast Guard, a Bike Rally was organised by Coast Guard District Headquarters conducted by ICGS Amrit Kaur at Haldia.
The rally was ceremonially flagged off from the PR Cell, Haldia. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri S. K. Das, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Refinery, in the presence of the District Commander, DIG Anwar Khan, TM, along with officers and personnel of the Indian Coast Guard.
The Bike Rally, comprising 35 bikers, covered a distance of 50 kilometers and was organised as a tribute to five decades of dedicated service rendered by the Indian Coast Guard since its raising on 01 February 1978.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest highlighted the pivotal role of the Indian Coast Guard in securing India’s coastline and safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests. He lauded the organisation’s unwavering 24×7 operational presence at sea and commended its professionalism, dedication, and commitment to maritime safety and coastal security.
The event formed part of a series of nationwide commemorative activities being conducted during the Indian Coast Guard’s Golden Jubilee year, aimed at enhancing public awareness and strengthening engagement with coastal communities. The rally also reflected the core values of discipline, camaraderie, and commitment that define the Indian Coast Guard.
The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and widespread public appreciation.
