WB Governor’s Scroll of Honour at Lok Bhavan on the 77th Republic Day

Lieutenant Dr. Biva Samadder, NCC Officer, was conferred the Governor’s Scroll of Honour – Excellence Award (Vande Mataram Puraskar) by the Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose, at Lok Bhawan during the 77th Republic Day State Awards Ceremony.

She was recognised for her outstanding contribution to youth empowerment, leadership development, and nation-building. Dr. Samadder is the first lady NCC officer from West Bengal to receive the Defence Secretary Commendation from the Ministry of Defence. Her impact is reflected in the national-level achievements of her NCC cadets and students in sports, the National recognitions, NCC, and various professional sectors.

On the same occasion, Under the NCC Officers mentorship SUO Deepak Bapari also received the Excellence Award; he earlier served with distinction as the Contingent Commander, NCC West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate for republic day 2025.

The ceremony further honoured several renowned directors, educationists, social activists, researchers, Padma Shri awardees, and eminent sportspersons. Distinguished personalities such as Oscar-winning sound designer and director Resul Pookutty was ine of them.

The event stood as a celebration of excellence, service, and dedication to the Nation, truly reflecting the spirit of Republic Day.
