In view of the upcoming Assembly elections, the postal voting process has commenced in the Jalukbari constituency in accordance with the guidelines set by the Election Commission. According to administrative sources, this initiative has been undertaken to ensure the participation of all voters in the democratic process.
This postal ballot system has been especially implemented for those voters who are unable to visit polling stations on election day due to physical illness, old age, or other reasons. Officials appointed by the Election Commission are visiting voters door-to-door and collecting votes through postal ballots while strictly following the prescribed rules. This ensures that no citizen is deprived of exercising their right to vote.
Booth Level Officer (BLO) of Ward No. 5, Satyanarayan Goswami, informed that postal voting was successfully conducted on Monday at Polling Station No. 113 under the 37 No. Jalukbari constituency. On this day, Reva Rani Dhar and Sudhir Kumar Ghosh exercised their voting rights through postal ballots.
Election officials stated that all necessary guidelines are being strictly followed to ensure transparency and fairness in the entire process. Voting is being conducted in accordance with the Election Commission’s rules at every stage to maintain secrecy and security.
The administration has expressed hope that through this postal voting system, a larger number of voters will be able to exercise their democratic rights, leading to the peaceful and successful conduct of the upcoming Assembly elections.
