The spirit of Rongali Bihu came alive at Modern English School, Kahilipara, as the campus transformed into a vibrant celebration of Assamespp its Pre-Bohag Bihu festivities held on April 13, 2026.
The event was a colourful showcase of tradition and talent, featuring energetic group Bihu dances, soulful group and solo renditions of traditional Bihu songs by students, and inspiring addresses delivered by the School Director, the Principal, and students.
The performances reflected not only artistic excellence but also a deep-rooted connection to Assam’s rich cultural heritage.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, Mrs. Jonali Das, Principal of Modern English School, remarked, “Bohag Bihu is not just a festival; it is an emotion that connects us to our roots. Through such celebrations, we aim to instil in our students a sense of pride in their culture while also nurturing respect for diversity and unity within our school community.”
