Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur & Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang accompanied President Droupadi Murmu during her visit to the Orchidarium at Swarnajayanti Maitreya Manjari, Ridge Park, where the rich floral diversity and ecological heritage of Sikkim were showcased.
During the visit, the President appreciated the remarkable collection of rare and indigenous orchid species preserved at the Orchidarium and acknowledged Sikkim’s continuous efforts towards environmental conservation and sustainable development. The visit highlighted the State’s commitment to protecting its fragile Himalayan ecosystem while promoting eco-friendly growth and biodiversity conservation.
The Chief Minister stated that such encouraging moments further strengthen Sikkim’s resolve to pursue sustainable progress while maintaining harmony with nature and preserving its unique natural heritage for future generations.
