Assam’s flood situation remained grim on Wednessday with 16 districts reeling under water,affecting more than 4 lakh people remained affected.Total 331 peple died in Assam as flood conditions worsened across 16 districts in Assam.
The Indian Army continues its rescue drive and relief operations in flood- affected Sivsagar district.Coordinated by ASDMA,in collaboration with the District Administration.
Many people had been evacuated to relief camps as the Brahmputra, Disang and Dikhou were flowing above the danger level .Many hectares of agricultural land remained submerged.
The morethan ten thousand displaced people were taking shelter in relief camps across the state,including nearly 5000 in Sivsagar alone.Total 31 people reportedly died in the state.The rescue operation is going till filling of this report.
On the other hand satellite city Jagiroad remained submerged in artificial flood.The inhabitants of Natungaon,Markangkushi ,Kishor club,Syampalli,Nakhulagaon,Jyotikushi,Pashim Nagaon have been submerged by the artificial floods caused by incessant rainfall.Many valuable property have been damaged as artificial flood hit in households.The sudden artificial flood‘s wave damaged school’s boundary walls also.The Dry fish market and the Railway station located in the heart of satellite city Jagiroad are hit by the flood’s water.
