October 30, 2023, Troops of Border Outpost Mahadipur, 70 Battalion, BSF under South Bengal Frontier came together to organize a remarkable event, the ‘Swachhatha Freedom Run’ on the Gour road, situated near their Border Outpost- Mahadipur. The theme of this event was ‘Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat,’ symbolizing the intertwined goals of a clean and healthy India.
A total of 48 individuals participated in this run, demonstrating a collective commitment to the ideals of a cleaner, healthier, and more robust nation. Among the participants, there were 30 dedicated BSF Jawans who took up the challenge, joined by 18 local youths who enthusiastically embraced the cause. This event exemplified the spirit of unity and collaboration between the defenders of our borders and the local community.
The run covered a distance of 4.5 kilometers, as participants raced along the Gour road, showcasing their physical endurance and spirit for a cleaner and healthier India. The enthusiasm and dedication of all participants shone through as they weaved through the course, spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness and well-being.

He further said that this event showcased the integral role that the BSF plays, not only in safeguarding our borders but also in contributing to the betterment of the nation.
