On March 28, 2022, acting on the basis of specific information, the vigilant troops of Border Out Post Hazrakhal, 08 Battalion posted in the border area of Nadia district, seized the injections worth 8.96 lakhs and thwarted the plans of the smugglers. However, the smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of the dense darkness and bushes. The seized drugs include 100 Emtaxal and 36 Intaxel injections.
The seized medicines were handed over to the Customs Department Majdiya for further legal action.
Shri H S Luwang, Commanding Officer, 08 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force along the Indo-Bangladesh border is taking stringent steps to stop smuggling. Due to which the people involved in such crimes are facing a lot of difficulties. Further the officer added that we will not allow smuggling from our area under any circumstances.
