The 85-year-old writer and journalist was also a former president of the Assam Sahitya Sabha.
He had tested positive for COVID-19 on April 24 and later on May 7, he tested negative for COVID-19 and discharged from GMCH.
He breathed his last at 6.58 AM at GNRC hospital in Guwahati.
