Abraham Tagit Sorang second mountaineer from Arunachal to climb the world’s highest peak on Monday.

He is the 14th to scale the 29,028-feet peak from Arunachal.

Sorang, who hails from the Sapha village under Pip-Sorang circle of Kra-Daadi district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu tweet, ” My hearty congratulations to Shri Abraham Tagit Sorang on successfully scaling #MtEverest, and also on becoming the second mountaineer from Arunachal after Ms #TashiYangjom to climb the world’s highest peak this season. Best wishes to Sorang Ji on your future endeavors!. “

He scaled Everest 20 days after Dirang-based National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS)’s Tashi Yangjom claimed it on May 11, 2021.
