Ambubachi Mela cancels in Kamakhya Temple this year due to Covid.
Kamakhya temple remains close till June 2020.
This yearly Mela is celebrated during the Assamese month Ahaar.
The management committee decides no devotees will be allowed to enter inside the premises of the Kamakhya Temple during the Ambubachi Mela.
Kamakhya is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths in the country.
During normal times many visitors visit Guwahati in Ambabuchi Mela.
