Senior journalist and former Rajya Sabha MP Chandan Mitra passed away last night in New Delhi.
He was 65.
He was an editor and managing director of The Pioneer newspaper in Delhi.

He was a former member of the Rajya Sabha from 2003-2009. He was elected to another term in the Rajya Sabha, as a Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Madhya Pradesh, in June 2010.
He joined TMC in 2018.
