Bengal player Ravi Kumar in India U19 World Cup squad

Bengal U19 bolwer Ravi Kumar has been selected to represent India in upcoming ICC Under 19 Men’s Cricket World Cup to be played in the West Indies as announced today.

Another Bengal youngster Amrit Raj Upadhyay has been included as stand by player for the tournament.

An elated Ravi said: “I am very happy and excited to be a part of India U19 team. When I was selected for Bengal U19 my aim was to get selected for India. I gave my everything, learned with every step and worked hard. The journey till here has been great, with the support from CAB, President Avishek Dalmiya, my coaches, support staff and want to thank them.”

“Want to do well in World Cup and hopefully next things follow. I want to concentrate and do well in every match I play,” he added.

The tournament will be held from 14th January to 5th February 2022 across four host countries with 16 teams competing for the trophy in 48 matches.
