BSF has always been doing to develop a good mindset and mutual understanding of the Border Security Force in the minds of the people in its border area. BSF has been making every effort for the welfare of the border residents, for which it has been encouraging sports from time to time by providing sports items to the youth and organized free medical camp for needy people..

On 29 December, 2021 from 1100 to 1630 hrs, the troops of Border Out Post Natna, 84 Battalion, Sector Headquarters Behrampore, organized a Civic Action Program, in which the villagers of Natna, Nabinagar villages took part enthusiastically. This included men and women as well as children. In order to make the youths more aware about sports, sports itmes like volleyball, badminton, football, carrom board etc. were distributed in the camp. During this, a Vollyball competition was also played between the team of Natna and Nabinagar village to increase the interest of the youth towards sports. By encouraging the players who performed well, their morale was also boosted. Village pardhan and members were also present in this camp.
On the other hand, on December 29, 2021, a free medical camp was organized by the BSF for the welfare of the border residents of Border Out Post Songhaat, 159 Battalion under Sector Malda, in which about 400 villagers including women, men and children from all the surrounding villages also participated whose free treatment was done by Border Security Force doctor along with free medicines were also distributed.
The people of the area highly appreciated the camp and urged to organize more and more such camps in future.
The program was highly praised in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier. Officer state that such programs create a good image of the BSF and inculcate a sense of security among the citizens. He stated that such programs would be organized in future also to increase the interest of the youth of border villages towards education and sports. He inspired the children to become a good citizen by reading and writing and also inspired them to raise the name of the country by performing well in sports.
