Press Information Bureau, Guwahati organised a webinar on National Youth Day today. This webinar has been organised to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and spread his philosophy and ideals which could be a great source of inspiration for the Indian Youth.
Addressing the webinar Dr. Anupa Lahkar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Communication & Journalism, Gauhati University said that Skilling of Youth is very important for the growth of India and the government is taking all sorts of initiatives to make the youth skillful. She further said that utilitarian approach in education is very important to include youth in nation-building.
Speaking in the webinar Shri Ravi Shankar Ravi, Editor, Dainik Purbodaya, said that Youth needs to be focused in their lives to bring positive changes in the society. He urges the students to ignore those things which are not important for their career.
The webinar was attended by the officials of Press Information Bureau, Regional Outreach Bureau of Guwahati, staffs of the Field Units of ROB and students of Gauhati university. Smt. Sucharita Sahoo, Field Publicity Officer, Regional Outreach Bureau, Guwahati gave the welcome address and Smt. Smita Saikia, Media and Communications Officer, PIB Guwahati moderated the webinar.
