The nation celebrates the contributions of women on International Women’s Day. Prestigious IIT Guwahati has been a prominent flagbearer of women empowerment over the years. This is certainly remarkable and noteworthy. Let’s contribute a few paragraphs in the honour of female alumnus of IIT Guwahati, symbolic to our respects to the women fraternity at large.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati is the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes.
Many female Professors of IIT Guwahati have achieved excellence in various domains and made IITG very proud. In International Women’s we never forget their contributions.
Dr. Hemangee K. Kapoor Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering And Associate Dean, Alumni and External Relation is one such example.
