The Guwahati Municipal Corporation election will be held on April 19, 2022 and the counting of Vote will be held on April 21, the State Election Commission announced on Wednesday.
It is also announced that the Polling will be held for 60 Seats and out of 30 Seats will be Reserved for Women.
The last day of filling of Nomination paper on March 30,2022 and Scrutiny of Papers will take Place on April 1 and April 4 is the last day of withdrawal of Nomination Papers.
Voting will be held from 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM. The Total Number of Voters in the Municipal Elections is 6,98,829 .
The Assam State Election Commission has decided to use EVMs in this Election said Alok Kumar, State Election Commissioner in Guwahati.
