The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to resume the train service connectivity with Dangiri, the Eastern most station of Indian Railways from 12th April, 2022. The train service of Tinsukia – Dangiri DEMU Special was earlier suspended due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, as the situation almost came under control nationwide, almost all train services are being resumed day by day. So for the ease of transportation of the commuters from Makum-Dangiri region the train services will be resumed w.e.f. next week.
Train No. 07904 (Tinsukia – Dangiri DEMU Special), will depart from Tinsukia railway station at 04:30 hours and will operate six days a week (except Sunday) from Tuesday, 12th of April, 2022. The special train will reach its destination at Dangiri at 06:00 hours via Makum Jn., Bara Hapjan, Hansara, Dum Duma Town , Rupai and Talap stations.
Train No. 07905 (Dangiri – Tinsukia DEMU Special), will start its journey from Dangiri railway station at 06:30 hours on same day i.e. Tuesday, 12th of April, 2022. The special train will also serve for six days a week (except Sunday) from Dangiri railway station and will run via the above mentioned stations in a reverse direction to reach its destination Tinsukia railway station, at 08:00 hours, same day.
The DEMU special train will operate with a total of 08 coaches consisting of 02 Driving Power coaches with accommodation facilities and 06 passenger coaches. The fare from Tinsukia and Makum to Dangiri will be Rs. 30/- only. Train fare of the return direction will also be same. N. F. Railway has facilitated the passengers to avail on board railway tickets during their journey by this train. As N. F. Railway discourages ticketless travelling of passengers, this facility will add provisions to the commuters to get journey tickets even during their train journey
