NPEC BENGAL PREMIER LEAGUE Organized by West Bengal Billiards Association

The West Bengal Billiards Association is organizing the 6th edition of Bengal Premier League from 23rd April till 29th April 2022 at the Bengal Rowing Club, Kolkata. The league will be sponsored by Natural Products Export Corporation. The League will take place in the esteemed presence of Internationally acclaimed players who will also be participating in the league are World Team champion Aditya Mehta, World and Asian champion Sourav Kothari, World 6Reds champion Laxman Rawat, Asian Team Snooker champion Brijesh Damani, World 6Reds No.2 Kamal Chawla, Asia Snooker No.2 Ishpreet Chadha, World Team Cup champion Manan Chandra, Billiards and snooker convenor Bengal rowing Club Bharat Dhandhania etc. The other participating teams for the NPEC Bengal Premier League are: Magic Cannons, City Knights, Cue Magicians, Green Warrior, The Hurricanes, Dianamites, Shooting Stars and Dream Chasers.

Bengal Premier League is an annual event of the West Bengal Billiards Association since 2016, which was on halt for the last two years due to the Pandemic. This year it has again revived with the Grand entry of 41 international title holders, Padma Bhushan Pankaj Advani, who is appearing for the first time in this league. The West Bengal Billiards Association is thankful to the management of Bengal Rowing Club which has always been kind enough to host big events for Cue Sports in the past and now hosting the 2022 NPEC Bengal Premier League at their club. The tournament will be played in a round robin format, with the top four qualifying for the semi-finals and final.

While addressing the Media Mr. Pradeep Saragoi, President, The West Bengal Billiards Association said, “The industry is back to the post pandemic levels of buzz. Due to the pandemic situation we were bound to halt it for 2 years but due to the grand success of previous years we couldn’t resist this time. We are really honored to have three marquee players like Sourav Kothari, Brijesh Damani and Shahbaaz Khan from West Bengal to feature in the event this year.  The event will take place with 8 teams in totals and each match is designed in an innovative format. The total purse will be about Rs 10 lakh this year. We are hoping to see a grand successful one this year also.”

According to Mr. Debu Mukherjee, Secy WBBA said, “These two years have been two decades for me without hosting this event. With lots of love and support we are back this year with a bash. . We are overwhelmed to have marquee players with us this year. We have planned a lot of new ideas for the event and hope to make it a grand one with lots of success like previous years.”
