On 29th April, 2022 at 4:10 am, alert personnel of 68th battallion Border Outpost Jeetpur detained 2 women while crossing the International Border illegally whose identity is 1. Sawa Baroi (55), wife of his son (Shuli Baroi (Phelon, 23) District – Khulna, Bangladesh.
During interrogation, Sawa Baroi revealed that he is a Bangladesh national . Her son Nitish Baroi married Shuli Baroi (whom she was caught with) in 2016.
She revealed that Shuli Baroi’s mother Kalpana Biswas was suffering from blood cancer since 02 years and had come to India illegally for treatment 06 months back from an unknown border area. To take care of Shuli Baroi’s mother, she and her daughter-in-law (Shuli Baroi) decided to come to India through illegal crossings. There has been no disclosure of brokerage from Bangladesh and India. He was caught by alert BSF personnel on duty while crossing the International Border. The arrested women were handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh as a goodwill gesture.
Mr. Yoginder Agrawal, Commanding Officer of 68th battalion informed that Border Security Force is taking stringent measures to prevent infiltration along Indo-Bangladesh border due to which some people are being apprehended. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the arrested people and due to the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, some of them are being handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh.
