Nandita Garlosa State Cabinet minister for power, mines & minerals, cooperation, indigenous faith & culture on Sunday visited the recently re-opened Tikak Colliery under North Eastern Coal Fields Coal India ltd Margherita.
The Minister took stock of the present operations at the site and held a brief interaction with S P Dutta, General Manager NEC Coal India Ltd Margherita and other senior officials relating to the operations, transportation and CSR activities of the PSU.
The minister also advised that, apart from generation of revenue, the Maharatna company should be involved consciously in socially lifting the region with its social responsibilities across Assam and align their activities in betterment of the environment.
