On 29 October, 2022 at 0645 hrs, the troops of 70 Battalion and 115 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier organized a cycle rally on the occasion of National Unity Day. Our country celebrates National Unity Day every year on 31st October, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
On this occasion, officers of 70 Battalion and 115 Battalion flagged off this rally. A total of 73 cycle and motorcycle riders participated in this rally.
The rally started from Battalion Headquarters Vaishnavnagar to Farakka Toll Plaza covering a total distance of 18 miles.
The main objective of this rally was to make people aware about National Unity Day. People highly appreciated this initiative of BSF and called the rally very interesting. They said that such activities inspire our youth and bring back memories of great men.
