District Administration of Cachar organised a series of events on the occasion of the 400 birth year celebration of Mahabir Lachit from 18th November to 25th of November, 2022 through various events.
Among the events organised on Tuesday evening there was an painting exhibition organized at the compound of Art Gallery Goldighi Municipal Mall Silchar, where are the paintings related to Mahabir Lachit Barphukan and his life stories were exhibited.
Along with the paintings, products made by the various self help groups of DMMU Cachar, Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission were also Exhibited. Deputy Commissioner of Cachar Sri. Rohan Kumar Jha along with the other Assistant Commissioners inaugurated the exhibition on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha himself visited the exhibition stall given by the ASRLM displaying the SHG products and he appreciated their efforts. The exhibition will go on til the 25th of November.
