Anusweta Deb, a Student of Presencia Senior Secondary School, Hailakandi won the silver medal in the India International Innovative & Invention Expo -2022 held in Panaji, Goa recently.
The Expo was attended by child scientists from 32 states and 30 countries. Students from various countries Russia, Poland, Iran, China, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia participated in it
The student of class 12 Anusweta Deb is the first Child Scientist of Barak Valley to achieve this accolade.
Anusweta Deb submitted a project on how to make life jackets from waste plastic water bottles to protect yourself during floods. The project, based on the Archimedes principle of physics, won second place at the Expo in Goa.
Earlier Anusweta received three National level awards including the child scientist award through projecting this model representing Assam which was held in 2018.
