Week-long NCC All India Trekking Expedition flagged off in Shillong

A week-long all-India trekking expedition of NCC with more than 500 cadets was flagged off from the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) campus, Shillong today.

Additional Director General, NCC Maj Gen Gagan Deep flagged off the expedition in presence of Registrar, NEHU, SK Dixit.

The cadets participating in the expedition will trek to Shillong Peak, Smit Cultural Centre and Sweet Falls towards the scenic countryside of Shillong. They will also visit war museums and heritage buildings in the city to get a glimpse of the rich culture and traditions of Meghalaya during the expedition.

NCC Cadets from Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and the eight States of the Northeastern region are participating in the seven-day expedition.
