CBC Guwahati organises Two-day Photo exhibition on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in the sidelines of SAI20 at Guwahati

The two-day Photo exhibition organised by Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional office, Guwahati begins today in the sidelines of SAI20 meeting held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati from today.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Girish Chandra Murmu, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. Shri B. Narayanan, Director General, North-East Zone, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting was also present on the occasion.

Girish Chandra Murmu, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, in his inaugural address, said, “This exhibition aims to aware and inform people about the sacrifices of our Unsung heroes-the freedom fighters of the nation towards the independence struggle. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a great initiative by the Government to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence and I am glad to know that the Central Bureau of Communication has organized many activities among students and public to aware and inform them about this great initiative.”

Murmu further added, “This exhibition has also showcased the culture, the heritage and the history of Assam and I commend the Central Bureau of Communication for organizing such an exhibition in the  sidelines of the SAI20 meeting.”

This Exhibition portrays the struggle of the brave freedom fighters who contributed to the independence movement of the country. The Private Registered troupe under CBC, Guwahati also performed various cultural programme on the theme of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in the exhibition.
